Wan Hai, Yang Ming to operate joint northeast Asia to Vietnam service

TAIWAN-based container shipping lines, Wan Hai Lines and Yang Ming Line (YML), are teaming up to commence a joint service, linking Japan, Korea and China to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam from November 29.
The new joint service called KCV will be operated with three 1,200-TEU vessels, of which Wan Hai will provide two and YML one.
The port rotation will be Osaka, Kobe, Kwangyang, Busan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Shekou, Cat Lai, Shenzhen-Shekou, Hong Kong and back to Osaka.
Wan Hai Lines said in a statement that it is "confident that the new service will provide customers with better service coverage between Japan/Korea/China and Vietnam".
